Hello Everybody
.
Yesterday, the Holy Spirit revealed something new to me in the Scriptures. In Matthew 13 the parable of the sower. Have you ever noticed that all 4 examples have 'heard' the word (taken it in) and had the 'seed' IN their heart? Yet only 25% of those that heard and had the seed, bore fruit? and that yet again, not all were 100% fruitful? I had to meditate on that awhile.
I then awoke to Bible Study elsewhere and after completion I read an article which I would like to share in the comments below. However, I found a 'key' of sorts, in the article as to what the Holy Spirit had shown me yesterday.I would like to share a small part of that here with you all. I will start with the 'key' from the article.
_______
.
If I am taught the protocols and armor of spiritual warfare then I can prevent my SEED from being devoured before it ever has a chance to harvest.
.
Matthew 13
4 And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up:
---------
5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth:
6 And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.
7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:
8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
9 Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.
__________
.
19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.
.
----------
.
v19 clearly states that the Word WAS heard and sown into the hearers heart, but without understanding, it is taken away by the enemy. God forwarned us this would happen if we do not diligently follow after Him and keep His commandments. (thru Jesus Christ) Anyone can be 'wise' in the Word but without understanding, there is no fruit brought forth for His Glory.
.
Prov 4
4 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
.______
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
.______
What good is Wisdom, the Word of the Kingdom, if we have no understanding? If we have no understanding, the wicked one comes and "catcheth it away out of our hearts". How then shall we be Kings and Priests if we have no understanding of His Word? (Rev 5:10) Again, it is the understanding, the application of His Word in our daily lives, that brings forth Fruit.
.
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.
