How many different ways it is written...........
Here is the Truth from a Sister in Jesus Christ. Please read to the end........
I wrote this poem so my children would understand why we were no longer taking part in a pagan holiday. Odin and Saturn (gods of the pagans) came down from the North to bring gifts to the children. Did they exist? NO. Were they considered the gods of the nations? YES. The parents lied to their children just like they do today. God does not author lies. He is the truth. Don't follow your heart, but follow the word of God. I know a lot of people say it doesn't mean that to them...but God doesn't care what it means to you. Jeremiah 17:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it? God cares if you put His word above your feelings. Remember, His word is above "all His name". Psalms 138:2 I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.
WHO ARE YOU REALLY?
Once a year, I hear you come,
To bring us cheer and joy.
You leave your gifts to show your love,
To every girl and boy.
They say you see them when they sleep,
You know when they’re awake.
You judge if they’ve been bad or good,
They’ll be good just for your sake.
I hear you live forever,
Even in the hearts of men.
Way up there at the North Pole,
Till you ride your sleigh again.
They call you “Father Christmas”,
Santa Claus, St. Nickolaus too;
Kris Kringle is another name
That they have given you.
But you are not as clever
As I’m sure you think you are.
I can see behind that mask,
Just who you really are.
You see, there is a greater One
Who shed His light on me.
The gifts He gives are better,
There the gifts you cannot see.
It’s He alone Who lives forever
In the hearts of men.
And when He comes you’ll be surprised,
Cause you won’t ride again.
He alone can see us
When we wake or when we sleep.
He alone will judge us,
And His promises He’ll keep.
Kris Kringle means “Christ Child”,
Don’t you think you are quite bold?
The only Christ is Jesus,
As the Bible had foretold.
You might think “Father Christmas”
Is okay to call yourself,
But we only have One Father,
And He’s Jesus Christ Himself.
And “Santa” switch the letters,
It spells “Satan” all the way.
You see I do know who you are,
A liar to this day.
You mock our Lord by coming
As a thief at night, it’s true.
But as a thief, He’ll come for us,
The mock will be on you.
I’m sorry, Jesus, for honoring
The gods that men have made.
I beg You to forgive my sins,
The price that You have paid.
I’ll glorify Your Name alone,
To You will I give praise.
In spirit and in truth, my Lord,
Until my flesh you raise.
