Hi everybody!
We are going to start a study in the Book of Ruth. I hope you all will join us. Feel free to add what the Lord has shared with you in your reading of these Scriptures, links to sermons, or articles you found helpful.
We may have a 'live' study on air so people can ask questions as we go. If we do and you miss it, the recording will be available for you to follow along and any questions or insight you have can be entered here.
Glorifying Jesus Christ and growth as Believers thru the study of His Word in fellowship will be our goal. God Bless you all today!

Great study in the Book of Ruth by Fifthie, JCD, Katz, and MaryJane...learned a lot from my brother and sisters, and the discussion got me thinking of the person Ruth, and what she represents to me - what was really in her heart, her mind, the fruit of her Spirit, so I add this tiny bit to a great discussion, and many of the points made were what I also understood... Ruth understood our Heavenly Father's desire that His children Walk in His Spirit and Truth; that our Heavenly Father wants each of us to become firmly established in the Faith, producing good fruit in our lives, to His Praise and Glory. Ruth clung to Naomi in order to continue her Walk with the Most High, following the Law under the Old Covenant. Ruth understood that it should be her desire to be fruitful, and to live a life that is honoring to Almighty Father. So she chose to hold True to Almighty Father by remaining by Naomi's side, trusting in His Spirit and Truth to Bless them as they embarked on a new path. Ruth chose the new path based on her Faith and Trust in Almighty Father, rather than returning to the old familiar way that would have taken her back to her family that led to nothing except alienation from the Most High. "No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the Kingdom of GOD." And sometimes, as we know, we have to bind the gatekeepers and watchmen that prohibit us from hearing GOD; so did Ruth to Naomi, when Naomi tried to dissuade Ruth from forging ahead, and instead, return to her old life. When Naomi realized Ruth's steadfastness and faithfulness, Naomi relented.
We, under the New Covenant can glean many things from the Book of Ruth. As Ruth clung to Naomi; we cling to Christ Jesus, we never let go of Him...we enjoy being in His Presence...we seek the Giver of Life, Adore, Magnify, and Exalt Him...Following, Believing, and Trusting where He leads us, accepting what He places in our Path. "I have learned, in whatever state I am, in this to be content." "All we have to do is Love our Eternal King, and that will take us through all the fire to conform us to His Image; that this is the Way of certain triumph to accept our Heavenly Father's Will, and to Trust in Him in the certain Faith that His Will must triumph in the end." In this, we will also desire, as Ruth did, to produce much good fruit - fruit of His Holy Spirit - Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Trustworthiness, Gentleness, and Self-control...An amazing book that shows us how important it is to listen to our Heavenly Father and cling to our LORD and Savior Christ Jesus, as Ruth did, for through the union of Boaz and Ruth came the Messiah.
